Utah State Bar Lawyer Referral Service

The Lawyer Referral Service is operated from the Utah Law and Justice Center in Salt Lake City, utilizing members of the staff of the Utah State Bar. Persons seeking a referral to a lawyer should call the toll-free line maintained at the Bar office. A staff member will interview the caller and a referral will be made to a Lawyer Referral Service panel member. Clients will then contact the lawyer directly to set up an appointment and should expect to pay a fee of $30 for an initial consultation, which will not exceed one-half hour. Any arrangements for further legal services and fees are subject to agreement between the client and the lawyer.
